Left channel only, they expect you to buy an identical looking speaker for the right channel. Comparatively low price.3. Though it will play music from it.2. Will not control an Iphone/Itouch.
To be completely honest, I bought this speaker for its low price. Even the it is only 2.0 instead of 2.1.3. Not Stereo. I also got what I paid for.Pros:1.
Only the controls for sound work(loudness bass/treble). Sound requires a little bit of tweaking in order to get it to sound OK. Looks cool.2. The A/V port in the back allows you to hook up another speaker system to get stereo sound(see below).Cons:1.
I agree the sound isn't perfect as noted in some other reviews, but it does not distort and it's good for how I use it. I purchased this item on sale for $20 at Amazon and use it on the patio and in the garage. Cheerz/DMK Catch it on sale and you can't go wrong, it's just a speaker with a dock and power, but it does very well for what it was designed. The case is made of shiny black plastic, the grill is silver metal, and the power brick is about 2"x2"x2" and plugs into the back.It has plenty of volume and sound quality for outdoors (sitting on back porch or cleaning garage/car). It's also lightweight and easily portable for moving about.
I think the quality is equal to the price. This may be fine if you are used to listening to an alarm clock radio, but if you listen to higher quality stereo, you will be disappointed. It is definitely flat sounding.
It was my understanding that it would allow the Touch to connect and play, but not charge at the same time--so this was a great surprise. Speaking of charging, was I amazed to discover that this unit DOES charge my new iPod Touch (2nd generation). It was my intention to give this as a gift but decided to keep it instead, and now I'm searching for an iHome alarm clock for our bedroom for christmas. Surprisingly, this little speaker sounds pretty decent in our large kitchen/great room combination. I bought it back in February for only $20, but definitely think it's worth the $37.99 that Amazon is charging right now.
The sound is 4 stars out of 5, you need to adjust the treble. Also its very loud we tested it connecting it to a pc and listening guitar hero III threw it :).Very happy with the buy.ps. Hi i bought this as a gift for my girlfriend for her birthday. The remote is awesome, small and you can operate it from a distance of 15 feet. The quality of sound is not excellent because its a sub woofer speaker, if you can find the speakers that go with the product i can assure you the sound will be neat :). She has a 4th generation ipod and it works (which i didn't check if it was compatible so a relief there). This product weights around 6lbs, its very small and compact (a bit bigger than a Nintendo Game Cube).
